The house is in a scenic, rural, coastal location. A private and discrete spot, on the unspoilt northern side of the Dingle Peninsula.
A car is almost essential, unless you are an exceptionally keen walker or cyclist.
There is virtually no public transport, so it is advisable to have your own transport. For avid walkers, once you arrive, you may manage without using your car.
Kerry Airport at Farranfore (1 hr). Shannon Airport (2.5 hrs). Cork Airport (2.5 hrs). Dublin Airport (4.5 hrs)

Drive to Tralee. Take the N86 from Tralee to Camp and then continue on the R56 towards Cloghane Village.
Distance to Dingle, from the house, is 20 minutes drive, over the spectacular Conor Pass. There is off road parking for at least 4 cars.
From Tralee Station. Take the N86 from Tralee to Camp and then continue on the R56 towards Cloghane Village.
Distance is approximately 40 km. Bicycles may be locked into the barn beside the house.
If you arrive by foot, you will probably be walking the Dingle Way, which passes by the house.
There is a local taxi service.
Cloghane (2 km) with shop and pub. Brandon (3.5 km) with pubs.

There are 5 beaches within 15 minutes drive of the house. The closest one is 1km walk down a scenic country lane.
Wild Atlantic House is situated in a Gaeltacht district.
The house is near the mountains (on the lower slopes of Mt. Brandon) and near the Atlantic Ocean.
The house is on the edge of the Mount Brandon Nature Reserve, a designated area of special conservation.
